Description
Microsoft Power BI Basics is a short course designed to give you a quick and painless introduction to Power BI’s capabilities.
In this hands-on course, you’ll first of all be introduced to the use of Power BI Desktop for report creation.
You will learn how to connect Power BI to an in-house Excel data source and then combine this data with some initially unrelated currency conversion data, imported from a public web site.
You’ll get some practice on performing transformations and data cleansing operations in the Power Query Editor.
You will be introduced to Power BI data modelling and you’ll learn how to create DAX measures.
Once we have created the data model, we’ll turn attention to report creation.
You’ll learn how to brand your report with a corporate theme and a logo.
How to add visuals to your report to display key metrics and how to format your visuals.
Then, we’ll turn our attention to the Power Service.
We’ll discuss the differences between My Workspaces and app workspaces.
Then we’ll create an app workspace, upload our report and then create an app which we can share with the appropriate members of our organisation.
This is a hands-on course, with plenty of practice in using Power BI. It’s short and sweet, so if you have a couple of hours to spare you can probably complete it in a single sitting.
So, sign up now for Microsoft Power BI Basics and get up and running with Microsoft Power BI.
